• Are you interested in going on the trip to Japan for summer 2021?  There will be another interest meeting on Tuesday, March 3 from 5-6 in Cobra Hall.  Families/students that are already signed up for the trip do not need to attend. Only students and parents that are interested and seeking more information about the trip should be there.
• The Talent Show will be on Thursday, March 5th in the Civic Center at 6 pm. 
• If you would like to be a part of the Talent Show then you can sign up for an audition slot outside of Mrs. Sanders's door. Auditions will be held on Tues. Feb. 18th, Thurs. Feb. 20th, and Wed. Feb 26th. The top 3 acts in the Talent Show will win prize money! 
• Rotary Club meets every other Thursday from 3-3:30 in Ms. Smith’s room (20).  This Thursday, February 27, we will meet to plan our next opportunities to serve our community.
• NC School Hero voting is going on now!  Ms. Regan has been nominated...if you vote for Ms. Regan, you give her and the school a chance to win $10,000.  https://www.ncschoolheroes.com/
• PromNoms are happening now.  Please be sure to complete the nomination process and pick what songs you would like to be played for prom.  
• Attention Spellers!  If you are interested in participating in LEC’s Spelling Bee, the deadline to sign up is March 16 at noon for the spelling bee on March 18 from 3-4.  The winners will be able to go county-wide competition on Monday, March 23. When you sign up, you need to sign up as a team of four. See Mr. Testa for more info.
• Students that will be 15 by August 1st can sign up for Driver’s Ed on Southern Lee’s website starting Monday, February 24.
• B Club is this Friday - 2/28/2020.

• choose ONE strategy they want to use. Have them write it down
• Have students take English Practice Test 4 (it’s only 15 questions) at the following website:

• For each question students get wrong have them write a sentence reflection about the question
• In the sentence students need to write why they believe the correct answer is the right one. 
• Once the student has done the reflection for each question have them check the explanations. 
• After the students have gone through the test have them write a reflection answering these questions:

Announcements 2/6

• Candy Grams are on sale!  Candy Grams for Valentine’s Day range in price from $4 to $7 with the Mega Gram allowing you to get out of advisory on Valentine’s Day!  See your advisory teacher for an order form or see Mrs. Testa or Mrs. Sanders for more details.
• Candy grams are on sale until Feb. 12th! A Regular Candy Gram is $4 and the receiver will get a card with a message, candy, and a gift. A Super Candy Gram is $5 and receives the same as the regular candy gram + the message will be read to the entire school on announcements. The Mega Candy Gram is $7 and you get all of the previous stuff, plus you and your guest will get out of advisory on Feb. 14th (to watch shows, play games, and eat popcorn). If you want to buy a candy gram or you have any questions, please see Mrs. Testa or Mrs. Sanders.

Have students take Math Practice Test 4 (it’s only 15 questions)

When students submit their answers they will be taken to a page that tells them the correct answer, their answer, and the result. There is also a link for them to click on that has the explanation. 

For each question students get wrong have them write the correct answer on a separate paper in clear steps. They may help each other.
